GDPR

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations)

Our school has a wide range of policies in place to ensure that the data of all parties—whether it’s students, parents, staff, or volunteers—is protected and processed safely. These policies help us follow GDPR rules, ensuring that personal information is handled securely and only used for the right reasons. Having these policies also means we can respond quickly and appropriately if there are any concerns about data safety, and they give everyone in the school community a clear understanding of their rights and responsibilities when it comes to personal data. By following these policies, we can protect privacy, prevent misuse of information, and maintain trust with our families and staff. It also helps us stay up to date with legal requirements and ensure that we are always doing our best to keep your information safe.

Privacy Notices

A Privacy Notice is a document that explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information. It provides transparency about the data we hold and outlines your rights regarding that information. We have separate policies for different groups—pupils, staff, governors (and volunteers), and parents—because each group has different types of personal data that we need to handle. For example, the data we collect about pupils is different from that of staff or parents, and the way we use it reflects those differences. These separate policies ensure that we are clear about how we use each group’s data, and they help everyone understand their rights and how their personal information is managed in a way that’s specific to their role in the school community.
