At Longmoor Community Primary School, our Early Years is where futures begin.
We believe every child deserves the strongest possible foundations from which to grow, explore and discover. We recognise that every child is unique, with their own experiences, strengths and starting points. Our aim is for every child to feel that they belong, achieve and can be the very best they can be.
Our Early Years is a nurturing, ambitious and language-rich environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired to learn. Through purposeful play, rich experiences, carefully sequenced learning and expert teaching, we build the knowledge, skills and confidence children need for success throughout school and beyond.

We believe strong foundations build future success.
We prioritise communication and language, early reading, writing and mathematics, alongside the wider knowledge and experiences children need to understand their world. Through purposeful play and high-quality teaching, children build knowledge progressively, revisit learning and develop the confidence to apply what they know.
Explore Through Quality Interactions
We believe every interaction matters.
Our skilled adults listen, model, question, explain and respond to children with purpose. Through rich conversations, ambitious vocabulary, storytelling and sustained shared thinking, we develop children's language, deepen their understanding and encourage them to become confident, curious and independent learners.
Thrive Through Belonging
We believe children achieve when they feel safe, valued, respected and known.
Strong relationships are at the heart of our Early Years. We celebrate every child, remove barriers to learning and work closely with families so that every child feels a valued part of the school community.
