At Longmoor, we know that strong families and communities are the foundation of happy, confident children. That’s why we are committed to supporting not just our pupils but also their families - working together as one Longmoor Family.
Our Dedicated Support Team
We have a team of caring, experienced professionals ready to provide practical, emotional and pastoral support to families and children, including:
- A Learning Mentor, who works closely with children and families to overcome barriers to learning and wellbeing
- Our Mental Health Lead, dedicated to promoting emotional health, resilience and wellbeing across the school community
- A skilled Play Therapist, offering therapeutic support to children who need extra help to process feelings and experiences
- A fully trained Safeguarding Leadership Team, ensuring all children are safe, protected and supported at all times
Our staff work in close partnership with families, listening carefully, respecting individuality, and providing timely help to meet each child’s needs.
What We Offer
- One-to-one and small group support for children facing social, emotional or behavioural challenges
- Advice and practical help for families facing difficulties, including attendance, housing, finance or health concerns
- Workshops and information sessions on topics like parenting, mental health and online safety
- Signposting and referrals to external agencies such as social care, health services, counselling and community organisations
