Welcome to Longmoor Community Primary School's Reception!
Miss Heilbron & Miss Quinn and the team welcome you to Longmoor Reception! We very much look forward to getting to know your child and helping them to enjoy their first year at school. Moving into Reception is an exciting stage in your child’s learning journey and our aim is to provide an enabling and stimulating environment in which your children feel happy to explore and learn.
Please find below some important information:
- School gates open at 8.45am anyone arriving after 9am will be marked as late.
- School finishes at 3pm we ask that you stand behind the yellow line for dismissal as we have a lot of children to dismiss safely.
- We ask children to bring a water bottle (water only) and a school book bag.
- All uniform needs to be labelled, including coat.
- We have PE twice a week Monday and Tuesday, children to come into school wearing PE kit.
- In hotter weather we ask all children to bring in a hat and sun cream.
- We communicate through Dojo and MCAS.

Ready for School
We are here to teach and support in many different ways. Every child is different and we will help them grow and learn throughout the year. That being said, there are lots of useful skills that can get your child ready for Reception. Please encourage and support children to practise these skills over the summer to develop their confidence and independence.
