Residential Visits
At Longmoor, we believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. In addition to our Outdoor Learning Experiences, we have developed a structured programme of residential visits in Years 2, 4, and 6, designed to develop our pupils' confidence, independence, and teamwork in a safe and supportive environment.
Our residential visits provide students with exciting opportunities to explore new environments, build independence, develop teamwork skills, and create lifelong memories.
These experiences are often some of the most memorable parts of a child's school journey - full of adventure, learning, and laughter.
Why Residential Visits Matter
Residential trips are an important part of our wider curriculum. They:
- Encourage personal growth and resilience
- Promote social and emotional development
- Enhance teamwork and leadership skills
- Provide real-world learning experiences linked to subjects such as geography, history, and science
- Help students form stronger relationships with peers and staff
