Breakfast and After School Provision
At Longmoor Community Primary School, we understand the demands of modern working life. That’s why our Breakfast and After School Club, run by Community Family Service, provides high-quality, Ofsted-registered wraparound care exclusively for children from Nursery to Year 6 attending our school. Please note that for nursery age children, Community Family Service offers After School Club only as Breakfast Club for children of this age is run by the school.
Supporting Busy Families
Our club offers a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment, ensuring your child starts and ends their school day in the best possible way. With a secure entrance and facilities based in two of the school halls, our provision is designed to give parents peace of mind while balancing work commitments with their children’s education and well-being.
A Home Away from Home
We believe that children thrive in a warm, welcoming space. That’s why we provide access to the school’s playground and outdoor areas, offering plenty of opportunities for fresh air and physical activity. Inside, children can enjoy a wide range of fun and educational activities, including:
- Arts and crafts to spark creativity
- Board games for social and cognitive development
- Quiet areas for reading and relaxation
- Role play to encourage imagination and problem-solving
Aligned with Our School Values
At Longmoor, everything we do is guided by our five core values:
- Determination – Encouraging children to persevere and strive for their best.
- Respect – Fostering an inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
- Integrity – Teaching honesty, fairness, and strong moral principles.
- Valour – Instilling confidence and resilience to face challenges.
- Excellence – Aspiring for the highest levels of achievement and success.
Our mission statement, ‘Together we grow, explore, discover,’ underpins our commitment to holistic development, ensuring that children feel inspired, nurtured, and empowered in all aspects of their learning journey.
EYFS Support and Development
Our provision meets the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements, ensuring that the youngest members of our school community (Nursery and Reception) receive appropriate support. Activities are designed to complement and reinforce the learning that takes place in school, helping children develop key skills in communication, language, physical development, and personal, social, and emotional growth.
Healthy and Nutritious Food
We know how important a balanced diet is for growing minds. Our Breakfast Club serves a variety of wholegrain cereals, toast, fruit, and yogurt, ensuring children have the energy they need for a productive school day. In the After School Club, we provide a light, healthy snack, with milk or water available throughout the session.
Convenient Opening Hours
Our flexible hours are designed to fit around your work schedule:
- Breakfast Club: 7:45am – 8:45am
- After School Club: 3:30pm – 6:00pm
